Good Food In Schools Forum

 

 

On February 22, 2017 The Table partnered with foodcore LGL and Two Rivers Food Hub to host the Good Food in Schools Forum.

Over 90 people joined us at the Gallipeau Centre in Smiths Falls, including students from three area secondary schools, teachers, administrators, parents, public health workers, and volunteers and staff of numerous community organizations. We had a packed agenda of presentations and rich discussion on how to move forward with improving the food environments in schools and get our kids better prepared for a lifetime of healthy eating. From the response of the participants it's clear there is a big apetite for this kind of information and a desire to continue sharing.
