Sarah moved to her 100 acre farm near Smiths Falls in 2000 where her and her husband Eric began to renovate and rehabilitate the abandoned lands. They began to grow a market garden as well as graze sheep on the 50 clear acres. Sarah and Eric have been selling at the Perth Farmers Market for 16 years.

At the present moment, along with their 3 children, cats and a dog they are planting trees with the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority and duck boxes with Ducks Unlimited. Sarah also helped with the creation of the Two Rivers Food Hub in Smiths Falls. She is always interested in promoting local food and sustainability including backyard gardening.
