Waterwise Gardening

In this workshop, participants will learn basic concepts, methods, and techniques of greywater and rainwater system design and water wise gardening.  They will understand how to safely use runoff from hardscapes to support their gardens, and best practices for using rainwater on vegetable gardens. Participants will leave this workshop feeling energized and inspired to put these tools to use.

Facilitator: 
Barb Danielewski is one of Kingston’s leading experts in managing stormwater runoff as a part of green infrastructure. She designs and leads workshops, charettes, and acts as a consultant for community groups towards transforming landscapes with new approaches in water management. This work is supported by her certificates from the Ontario Onsite Wastewater Association, Credit Valley Conservation (LID), Greywater Action, and workplace training from Village Water Services, Phoenix Composting Toilets, and Root Radical CSA.
