Community Action Training

Community Action Training builds the capacity of community members to become effective change-makers through individual coaching and group workshops. It brings together community members to learn how to take action on issues of poverty and other social, political, environmental and economic injustices.  

Dinner and a Movie Night: Disobedience

Come Join us for our quarterly Dinner and a Movie Night on Wednesday August 16th.  Dinner from 4:30-6pm.  Movie and discussion at 6:30. This months movie will look at how to take action for (climate) change through civil disobedience.  Come chat with local community members who have engaged in action for change for a wide variety of issues and learn what you can do to make a difference with your disobedience.

Open Mic

Come join us Saturday July 22nd while we co-create local culture and community at the Table.  Share whatever talents you have with a friendly crowd.

MOVIE and DISCUSSION: Colonization Road

"In towns throughout Ontario, there are startling reminders of the colonization of Indigenous territories and the displacement of First Nations people. Anishinaabe comedian and activist Ryan McMahon takes us to his hometown of Fort Frances and down its main drag, which is called Colonization Road.


WELCOME TO 2017 - Time to take the plunge and share your talents and thoughts with your community in a safe and friendly space- the Table Open Mic Night Saturday November 21st.  Come join us for music, poetry, comedy and who knows what else in this relaxed and welcoming creation of local culture.  Free coffee, tea, and healthy snacks available.  This month the show is preceeded by a community dinner from 4:30 - 6, so you can come for dinner and stay for the show at 7 if you like.
