VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR FALL 2016 PROGRAMMING

We are running our fabulous FoodFit and Tiny Tastes Programs in Maberly and Lanark starting in September and are looking for energetic volunteers to help make the programs a success.  

We are also looking for volunteers for our After School Program in Perth on Tuesday and Thursdays.  

Come join in the Table team of volunteers and help make everyone welcome at the Table.

 

Dinner and a Movie - Digital Food

Come join us for a meal and then to discuss if technology and smart  distribution processes can provide the answer to a more sustainable and transparent food cycle?

 

Monthly Community Kitchen

Come by Thursday July 14th and cook summer salads, carrot potato pancakes and Berry Banana Soft Serve.

9:30am -12:30pm, including lunch and clean-up.

Perth Leap Manifesto Dinner & Discussion

Following along with the Movie Night  theme of examining Global Warming, the Community Action Network (CAN) will be hosting Anique Baillon who will be leading a discussion on the "Leap Manifesto"

The LEAP MANIFESTO envisions "A Canada based on caring for the planet and each other".

#LetsTalkHousing - Federal Government Wants YOUR Opinion and so does the Table

The federal govenment is looking for feedback on housing needs in Canada under the hashtag campaign #LetsTalkHousing.  This new initiative is seeking feedback from people until October 21, 2016, and the Table's Community Action Network is excited to be already working on a housing outreach campaign that can be used to let the govenrment know what residents of Lanark County want and need when it comes to good safe affordable housing for all.

James Baylog has a near fatal attraction to ice. His fascination is leading him farther and deeper into the frozen regions of the earth. What began as a photographic assignment has become a mind-blowing odyssey. Come learn about the beauty and purpose of the frozen parts of the planet.
