OPEN MIC NIGHT

We are cranking up the power and opening up the floor for you to come and share with us whatever you have to share.  Come join a welcoming and supportive group of people: poets, performers, musicians, ranters, comedians and fellow local culture creators and connoisseurs, as we chase away the winter blues and blahs with fun and food and festiveness.

  

Barns Farms and Wicked Chefs 2016

A magical fundraising event featuring a "moveable feast" of local foods. Guests circulate around the historic farm property from one delectable dish to another, all the while being entertained by summer music.

WIN-WIN-WIN for Me, You and US: Making Difficult Conversations Easier with Collaborative Communication

On January 18th come join Bonita Ford to learn how to use collaborative communication to:  

·      talk through those tough conversations that you need to have

·      focus on solutions to the real needs and issues in disagreements

·      stay open to listening when emotions are making it easier to get lost in misunderstandings

Followed by the half hour Documentary: Displaced(which follows three Syrians living in a makeshift camp on the Northern border of France)

Volunteers Needed for 2016

With the New Year comes the need for new volunteer staff for the 2016 Programs.  If you would like to help out with the After School Program, the Community Kitchen or Meals, the Good Food Bank, Dad and Kids in the Kitchen, or some of our shorter run workshops please contact Beth at 613-267-6428 x4  or email her at beth@thetablecfc.org.

20000HOMES Reachout Week

The Peer Advocates at the Table will be participating in the 20000Homes campaign by interviewing people who are homeless or underhoused as part of a Canada wide initiative to adress homelessness across the country.  If you are or you know someone who doesn't have a home to call their own please let them know we would love to talk to them and offer them a gift card for their time.  If you have questions please call teh Advocacy office at 613-2676428 x29.

Winter Clothing Swap

Bring your old but still good, or your outgrown winter clothing and gear (boots, hats, skates) to a free clothing swap.

Double Feature Dinner and a Movie

This time we will have a double feature for twice the viewing and thinking fun.
