20000HOMES Reachout Week

The Peer Advocates at the Table will be participating in the 20000Homes campaign by interviewing people who are homeless or underhoused as part of a Canada wide initiative to adress homelessness across the country.  If you are or you know someone who doesn't have a home to call their own please let them know we would love to talk to them and offer them a gift card for their time.  If you have questions please call teh Advocacy office at 613-2676428 x29.

Bring your old but still good, or your outgrown winter clothing and gear (boots, hats, skates) to a free clothing swap.

The Table Encourages People to Vote with Everyone’s Stomachs on Their Mind

Access to good food is something that everyone requires to do well in their life. One way that the public shows its support for ensuring “good food for all” is the generosity shown to food banks, particularly at this time of harvest and thanksgiving. But, shouldn’t safe, healthy, affordable food should be at the top of the agenda when it comes to public policy debates at election time? 

Community Action Training

Community Action Training brings together lower income community members and allies with lived experience to take action on issues of poverty and other social, political, environmental and economic injustices. It builds the capacity of community members to become effective change-makers through individual coaching and group workshops.

Stone Soup 2015

On Thursday October 15, The Table Community Food Centre is kicking off its annual Harvest Campaign with a “Stone Soup” demonstration at Town Hall.
