The Table Community Food Centre is seeking three energetic, responsible and motivated youth to fill summer positions with us. The positions are funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program and are 35 hours a week. Tthe wage is $17/hour. Starting in May and going to the end of August.

Community Food Worker
The Community Food Worker will support the staff and volunteers of the food bank with basic operations of the Good Food Bank including taking and preparing food orders, assisting participants, developing educational materials and receiving donations. An ideal candidate will have an enthusiasm for healthy food, a commitment to working with the community and strong computer skills.
Gardener
The Community Gardener will participate with staff and volunteers in the planting, tending and harvesting of produce from The Table's gardens. The Community Gardener will also work with our cohort of gardeners participating in our garden support program. An ideal candidate will have interest in horticulture, enjoy doing outdoor physical labour, be independent and demonstrate leadership skills.
Kitchen Assistant
The Kitchen Assistant will assist our Community Chef in perparing our community meals. They will also work with other staff in various community food programs. An ideal candidate will enjoy working with food, have a commitment to working with the community, be able to follow instructions carefully, and take initiative and leadership within their capacity.
