Cultural Celebrations

On February 7, we kicked off our Cultural Celebrations project with the Tastes of Portugal—a delicious way to celebrate diversity at The Table. Thanks to a grant from Perth & District Community Foundation (PDCF), one Community Meal each month will feature a new cultural theme. Stay tuned for what’s next! The Table will be working with local cultural ambassadors from Venezuela, India, Senegal, and Afghanistan.

Perth Multicultural Food Fair

Saturday, February 8 was a busy day as our dedicated free food vendors prepared tasty samples for the Perth Multicultural Food Fair, held at Algonquin College on Sunday, February 9. This collaboration was brought together by the Town of Perth, the Local Immigration Partnership, the Lanark & Renfrew County Rural Inclusion Pilot Project, Algonquin College Perth Campus, PDCF and The Table's staff and volunteers. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to this vibrant and flavorful event!

LCCAN Community Action Talks

Lanark County Community Action Network (LCCAN) will be transitioning to an ad hoc network. The last in person gathering will be Thursday, April 10, 2025 10am-noon. All are welcome to join in the gathering to celebrate all of LCCAN’s experiences and achievements over the years.

Community Action Talks

Community Action Talks welcomes Bastou and Bonita who have been active volunteers and leaders in the community. They co-founded Transition Perth 15 years ago. Bastou started CRAP! (Creative and Radical Alternatives for Preparedness!), which hosts the Really Really Free Market and the Computer Reuse Program. Bonita is part of the Perth Citizens for Sensible Development, which formed in response to the proposed housing development at the golf course. Thursday, March, 27, 3-4pm at The Table.
